milk skin

white as milk you walk
into our house
your anger wrestling with
your sadness bristling
punching holes
into the walls and ceilings
breaking plaster crumbling
from its barren touch
i do not know how we can
live here any longer
or how we could leave
turning a new leaf onto itself
twisting time
wringing it clean of bleach
to teach us about the smell of
flowers shedding hours
like they shed s|kin
